LEGO® Based Therapy (Currently unavailable)

LEGO® Based Building Therapy is a peer-based social skills group that was initially developed for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) by Dr. Daniel LeGoff, a Clinical Neuropsychologist. Studies have shown that this program also benefits children with language difficulties, anxiety, low mood, fine motor impairment, and more.

Your child will be assigned one of three key roles and will practice working together as part of a team in order to build a model using LEGO bricks:

  • The Director uses the instructions to request bricks from the supplier.
  • The Supplier finds and delivers the bricks to the builder.
  • The Builder follows the instructions to make the model.

Our licensed behavioral therapists will coach and guide the process to encourage positive communication and peer collaboration.

Your child will practice skills such as sharing, taking turns, following rules, listening and paying attention, while building a fabulous LEGO creation!
